Hello all this is my very first post on this site and hope not to get as addicted as my lovely wife, who is permanently attached to her phone checking her posts. Yes OMG its a man on HHO. Some may already know my wife Llewellyn and after weeks of badgering I have given in to her fluttery eyes and created my first post. So I pose this to the knowledge of the masses of HHO. What is the best barf to buy online, as bulk buying is cheaper, and how does it compare to the high meat tinned foods. My cocker (wifes really) pippin has just finished Bakers which I know is not the best, as fully of preservatives and colourants, but as it came with her we thought to finish it and move her on to better gradually as the move would have been stressful enough without changing food straight away. I fully understand i should not mix barf and dry foods together so am starting her in the next week on barf. I would just like to know what is best and where is best to get it, so that OH sees me taking an interest, "browny points" Any help would be greatly appreciated.:D:D:D:D:D

Your could always be like my OH, and A, get a gun B, get a lurcher C, jsut chuck L out of the car whenever you see road kill:eek::D:D

OR google meat and poultry factory, unit, shop nearest to you and see if there is one, we where lucky to find one within a few miles of our home, now the contents of the meat factory is in my fridge:(

Oh check those siggy uploads out, you have been here 2 mins and already you have a fab siggy *im not sure that should be allowed* you could atleast pretent be be computer illiterate like the majority (well me):o:(:p

If you have one doggy, it would prob be just as cheap to pop to the butchers or asda, for the bargain turkey drummers for £1.49:eek: of course it looks like you are some kind of canibal buying shed loads of them:o

we buy from www.berriewoodwholesale.co.uk (they were recommended to us by the breeder of our Dalmatian puppy- who we are collecting tomorrow :D!!) their delivery is quick and they seem to be a fairly good price... the quality is V good!! Although i have to say i will be constantly keeping my eyes open in the supermarket for any bargain meats!!!

At the moment I get the majority of mine from Landywood, topped up with fresh fish from the supermarket & also eggs from our chickens & bones/offal etc from our own animals as they are sent to slaughter.

Landywood deliver in our area once a month, although I tend to put a large order every 2 or 3 months to save on delivery charges.

Before my freezers died (yes 2 in a week!!) I would get a bulk order from Anglian Meat Products (Prize Choice). I'd spend around £100 and fill the 2 freezers which would last 6 dogs around 3 months!! The delivery charge is very reasonable, esp as I live out in the sticks of North Wales. I think you have to order a min of £60 but if you have the space its worth it.

Anything you buy from feed companies online will be a little more expensive, another one is http://www.naturalinstinct.com/, but I would suggest that once you are more confident in feeding it that you start sourcing your own

You can either take the Xtreme highly enthusiastic route like Cayla's OH, or chat up a local butcher for the bulk and or take your chance against me jostling in the reduced section of the supermarket! Got their both their tea's tonight for the grand sum of 80p, snatched the chicken out from under the undecided woman's nose, survival of the fittest and all that!!!

Just make sure you keep the bone content up and well done on your first post!!
