Hi second question of the night.... ? my cob is 11 and driven. Iv rode her a few times but don't have much control its as if the bit isn't doing its job.. iv been told she is gaited so she is quick on her hoofs, can use to blinkers.... what do you think would be the best thing todo?? ? I mean she rides out but won't hault when instructed. I've been advised for a short time only to use her driving bridal with blinkers and a Liverpool bit till she gets he pace and learns I'm in control. But I don't no... help please ??

Can you get an instructor? Asking a ridden horse to halt is far more than just pulling back on the reins. You need to be able to halt with your legs and seat as well. Driving bits do tend to be quite strong (although any bit is strong if you just haul on it) because the driver does not have the body aids that a rider does. It sounds like you (and possible the horse as well!) need some help understanding the difference between a driving and a riding aid.
