Due to me now earning money :D i am going to save up to buy some either nice new chaps or long boots...
I have some ariat leathers but either i have shurnk mammoth amounts (unlikely) or they have expanded they just do not fit...at all...
Im not sure whether to buy long boots or just chaps as i do have nice boots, but as my normal yard ones are falling apart i could use them as my yard ones next year... anyway, suggestions...
For long boots preferably lace ups, well basically not the slip on ones... want them to look nice and noting ridiculous price wise! :D
Oh and i have fairley short calfs... So suggestions please :D

I love my Sergio Grasso gaiters and really tempted by the new Ariat Cobalt boots as they are very comfortable but at £180 they are going to have to wait!

I bought a pair of Dublin Spirit boots 3 weeks ago and they are SOOOO comfortable. I bought them as yard boots as I have incredibly comfortable Mark Todd long leather boots which i ride in but today I thought I'd try the spirits with my chaps and OH MY GOD, they felt flippin' fantastic.

Baxter 'Pony Rider' ankle boots (the leather soled version) I will swear by these boots! About $125AUD.
I have had 1 pair 8 years and apart from getting resoled a few times they are only just starting to crack and fall apart and this is after being used to ride in daily, do all the yard work, muster sheep off mountains in NZ and work in the sheep yards in them and spent a very dry 3mnths on a QH stud where I lived in them.

For chaps I have a pair of Ariat Crowne Pro, very comfortable and look smart with my boots. Not sure what they cost now as I bought mine a few years ago in a sale.

Depending on where your chaps have stretched a cobbler or saddler might be able to take them in for less than the price of a new pair...

I love my Mountain Horse Ladies Calibre long boots. I always stuck to short boots and chaps cos couldntget any to fit shorter leg length until now!

They are lace up with shock absorbing system and soles to match their stirrup treads to help you keep feet in stirrups and good foot angle and you can get insteps to raise your heel if need to so not as high up and tight behind your knee.

They are comfy and slender looking so dressier. Google them and see!

Thanks for the ideas :)
I think im leaning towards long boots now tbh... i prefer how they look!

I think my chaps are just too big to bother sorting out, as in i can fit my arm down the side of them?!

any other suggestions? the ones i would really LOVE are the ones you can get in black or red with the silver (?) piping but er...don't think thats going to happen!!

I have Mountain Horse jodhpur boots and Ariat Crowne Pro gaiters, have had folk asking what "long boots" I'm wearing, so they must look ok together! ;) Really comfy (once gaiters broken in- essential to buy them almost too small, as they do stretch with wear, but worth the pain, honest!)
