My horse has mild arthritis in 1 pastern and is sound and I only hack him out at the moment, but now the ground's getting harder I want some more protection for his pastern joint, at the moment he wears equilibrium tri-zone boots but I think he'll need something a but tougher, any recommendations? I was looking at getting some sport boots, as his arthritis set in when he had a ligament injury, and so he always needs protection.

I would call Andrew Daly at Dalmar for some advice as he not onl has the best boots on the market his boots are also made based on scientific research rather than what looks good

I had a good chat with him at Badminton and he really knows his stuff

I think you may struggle to find what you are looking for...there is nothing that supports really while working.
Dalmar would be the best bet...I used to have their boots shipped over before they were available over here - they were recommended by my vet...for my horse and always used their boots thereafter.
