I appreciate this topic has been done repeatedly but i am still struggling to make a decision!

I am looking for a calmer and I am stuck between first horse 'Relax ME' which has been recommended or to just feed a pure magnesium supplement. I am aware the magnesium appears to only work when the horse has a deficiency so i'm not sure whether to risk buying this or not (as i cant 100% say if he has). However i believe this will make more of a difference if this is the case.

I have heard good things about 'Relax me' but i am conscious not to get sucked into marketing.

He isnt the naughtiest of horses but he definitely has some anxiety/nervousness and struggles to concentrate. I just need to take the edge of him (ridden & being handled).

I suppose its trial and error as every horse is different but i was just looking for anyone's thoughts! :)

I've been using Nupafeed MAH for about 9 months. It's magnesium and my mare was already (and still is) getting magnesium in the broad spectrum supplement that I give all of them. I can't remember exactly why I chose MAH when I got really fed up with her anxiety but I think it may just have been how helpful the person who answered the phone for Nupafeed was. I've been really impressed with the effect - my horse is much more willing to concentrate when ridden. I didn't use their loading dose to begin with because she is fussy and I was worried she wouldn't eat her feed but she doesn't seem to mind the taste at all. She was on 'one squirt' (I have a pump thing for the tub) over the winter but then got quite unsettled in the spring - the advice was to increase the dose so she has been on 'two squirts' for the summer and that seemed to work well. I can find out how much a squirt is if you are interested!

NAF Magic, took my previous horse off it twice a few weeks apart. Within 7 - 10 days my girl had a definite escalation of her spookiness. Back on it, after another week or so back to normal.
Thought it was a coincidence so did it again but I got exactly the same result.

Still spooky but they deescalated so much quicker on the Magic and weren't as bad in the first place.
