Best cheap clippers for a first timer?

Good snowy morning all,

As I cannot seem to find a local person to come out and clip very hair pony I have decided to have a go myself.
I dont want to spend hundreds of pounds on clippers that wont be used very often,

what make do you recommend?

Hot chocolate with cream, marshmallows and a flake on offer

If he's very hairy cheap clippers will struggle. I'd have a look for a second hand pair of decent heavy duty ones like listers.
