My old boy has been out everyday this week because we have moved fields to one that if he jumps out he will only come back on to the yard rather than a road, fantastic seeing as he has only jumped out of this field once before, but he has ripped both front straps off his rug so i need a replacement as cheaply as poss, i will get him a nice decent one when i have saved for it but right now i need one asap. so and ideas would be great thanks, 5ft9in/6ft is the size i need :D

lots of people say the axiom rugs on ebay are very good

either that or take a look at Swish Equestrian, i think there is a few days of their sale left

i've brought 4 axiom rugs off e-bay this year and i have to say they are great...the older colours are £39 inc p+p and the new ones which the brown tartan is a super colour is £49...they came with in days and fit really well even on my heavier warmblood

I think loveson rugs aren't bad. They aren't the toughest of rug but my girl who is a serial rug killer has only killed one in about 3 years and she's out 24/7. The cut of the rug doesn't suit every horse I've had but it is certainly a make worth looking at.

I bought an Axiom heavyweight for this winter and its doing alright. His new field buddies ripped one of the chest straps off but its ok and very waterproof.

Premier equines sale is still on, the winterbuster and stormbuster are still in sale around £80. top notch quality, both 450g. all you can see of my girl is her head and her from the knees down, lovely and any deep. Don't think i would buy anything else now.

Ditto the Axioms. Go for the highest denier (1800D) and they're brillaint. Mines lasted two winters in a field of serial rug-rippers: last type lasted about a week :o
