I’m thinking of investing in some new clippers this year. I am probably asking a lot but I need a really good pair, that are quiet, durable, reliable and that will get through very thick feathers and mane (all year round). They need to be capable of a full clip (of thick coat) with ease. A pair that will help me out (minimal streaks and lines) a bit as I am not the best clipper would be great! I have the master clip ones at the moment but they are so loud and heavy and have tension which I don’t really like. Any recommendations please?

i have the liveryman calypso and so far they have coped with my hairy really well, i take his feather off

I have the heiniger handy clippers and my cob is VERY hairy and im clipping her this weekend as shes a fluff monster even tho she doesn't live out lol! I use my Wahl magic clip trimmers for her legs and ears and muzzle ect as she wont allow the vibration on her legs of normal clippers. My heiniger clippers wizz right through her mane when i hog her and shes got very course and thick mane hair as shes naturally a hairy traditional lol

I used to use the Lister Star which was great, easily coped with my cob, hogging, legs etc. Im now at a yard with no mains electricity so had to get a battery clipper. Spoke to Clippersharp before buying they were really helpful and highly recommended the Listers because they are so easy to tension. I got the Liberty, goes for 3 hours on one charge and breezes through woolly coats. Having had 2 very reliable sets from lister i would recommend them.
