Anyway i want some recomendations for clippers, please dont recommend Moser or Liveryman. I had Liveryman for years & had problems with all of them.

I currently have Moser Avalons there over 4yo now & there nice but they do experience clipping problems with the blades & the length of hair as well. They dont like hairy beasties very much.

Im intrested in the Lister Liberty but it's a lot of money & i always talk myself out of the lister clippers.

So recommend me some would prefer battery.

I'm after the Lister Liberty, friend has the Lister Showman and they have gone for years and years. Another friend had the Liberty and although hers died, she clipped 40 horses over one week then redid them all monthly....!

For me with a nervous horse they are quiet, and easy to manouver.

The Wolseley Swift, has a pretty robust reputation and would have the advantage of taking your liveryman blades (if you have any left) Battery wise, the Lister Liberty is the only serious contender I have come across. All depends on the quantity of clipping you are doing and how the horses you clip react to the noise. The Avalons are OK as a trimmer, or for very nervous, but very well groomed and clean horses, but for any heavy work they will die...I would say, that with my experience of repairing clippers over the years, whatever make you buy, the most important things are blades sharpened correctly and quality oil. However good your clipper, the machine relies on the above to work.

Happy clipper hunting
