I am looking for a nice padded bridle that will be for general use as well as eventing.
I am looking at Rhinegold, Jefferies or Heritage. If you know of any others that are better than these but UNDER £85, please recommend !!
As many opinions as possible please. Thanks!

Rhinegold.. Just no.. There bridles are cheap and nasty quality..😁Saying that everything Rhinegold is awful..if you want comfort buy a decent bridle and then maybe add wool covers on the sentive parts :)

I got the Caldene bridles with the comfort headpiece on Amazon for under £85. For the price it's very nice looking bridle, decent quality leather AND the bonus of the flash strap loop being detachable. I got a black one for flatwork to match my black stressage saddle and a brown one for everyday hacking, XC and SJ lessons etc.

I have 2 heritage ones which have lasted about 5 years and are fab. I put a grackle on instead and don't use the crank noseband but leather is so supple and soft - I have only ever used Effax on them

I've been looking for ages for a comfort bridle without a big fat noseband and rubber reins!

I want havana and a plain narrower noseband, any reins except rubber although I did see a nice john whittaker bridle the other day and the reins were rubber but they were floppy and not fat and stiff like others I've seen. I ride in double reins, but it had flash noseband :-(

heritage and rhinegold have the fat nosebands. I'm warey of buying online without seeing I don't want the faff of returning

why can't shops have decent stuff instead of the rubbish they think people want which is why we end up buying online then they moan cos shops have to shut down

I bought an FSS one for about £40 on ebay. It was supposed to be a cheap stopgap as I had a new horse arriving after a long break in ownership so had to buy lots of things in one go. I intended to buy a decent one later. Over 8 years later it's still going strong and with the addition of cob cheekpieces is now being used on my new horse.
