I'm on the hunt for a stud girth for an incredibly sensitive tb who is very tricky to girth. He currently wears a prolite girth with his dressage saddle, as recommend by the saddler, and is ok with it. I've been using it on the jump for now, but its a size too short (he needs 28) and ideally would prefer him to have a stud girth! However, we've not been able to find one that is right for him - they seem very heavy and thick leather, all of which are a bit of a no go!
Ideally looking for something with neoprene, or in some way padded on the contact side, but lightweight and not too large in terms of surface area on the stomach. The saddler did mention 'comfort zone' stud girths, but I can't seem to find many online.. almost as if they don't make them any more! They also come in a black/ brown mix colour which honestly isn't my ideal (I know colour is irrelevant, but I'm not 100% sold on these and so want to do my research at least before committing). We've also been recommended a waffle stud girth so if anyone has of those they can comment on, that would also be very helpful!
Any recommendations would be greatly received!
