Hi All,

Looking for the best dog beaches to go with a friend in the next few weeks, somewhere to let the dogs off lead to have a good run around for their first visit to the beach...

Ideally within a couple of hours of the Berkshire/Hampshire border in the south of the U.K

Please post suggestions and pictures are always welcome!

Thank you for the recommendation, I did have a quick look at West Wittering however noticed there is a restriction this time of year on the 'main beach' do you know if there is plenty of other areas for the dogs to play or is it quite a small area they are aloud in?

East Preston is great you can usually park near the Tudor Tavern and go from there (about 1 minute to the beach) or park at Goring Gap (go down Sea Lane at Ferring - loads of parking). Both have vast sandy beach when the tide is out.

Or even better park behind The Bluebird Cafe (lots of parking), go for a walk and then retire to the Bluebird (dog friendly). http://www.thebluebirdcafeferring.co.uk/

Perfect thank you will look into this and a dog friendly cafe is always a bonus! :-)

Climping beach is lovely. And hayling island is popular too - I avoid wittering like the plague, nowt but a tourist trap and hard to get parked as overun on nice days...Bracklesham is a better choice.
