does anyone have any advice on the best long rides by boots to wear working with racehorses, need to be tough, but comfy as in them most of the day?

Another vote for Shires Moretta. Mine are still going strong after 5 years, and I really don’t look after them.

I must have been really unlucky with Shires Moretta. 1st pair lasted 2 years then the leather laminate just peeled off. 2nd pair are disintegrating!
I ride most days and do look after them but most recent pair it is the sticking by the zip thats just given up (not in a re-stich basis either). 1st pair i ended up getting the zip replaced but this pair are going everywhere.
