I've got a lovely Irish/holstiener mare who has developed a very annoying cough over the winter. Can anyone recommend the best "dust free" bedding available? She's so clean in her stable that shavings get quite dusty at times too!

Have changed the lad onto Bliss - it's rape straw and practically dust free. Scented with either citronella or eucalyptus, most of our yard are on it now and the place is less dusty AND less stinky!

Bliss Bedding is fab, and dust extracted. One of horses with COPD used to be on it (she ate it unfortunately) but it was noticeably less dusty than other brands of bedding. It's really comfy too!

I've just started using Aubiose and once it's been down a bit (i.e. after the first 30mins or so) it's very non dusty. I did dampen it (as per instructions) and that helped a lot and I'mm finding it brilliant. Also found shavings (even Bedmax) dustier than the Aubiose so far.

I changed onto paper last year. Yes, it's a PITA to get used to mucking out, but once you get used to it, takes less than 10 minutes and most definitely is dust free!

All our yard uses nedz professional, sounds similar to the bliss as its rape straw and dust extracted and smells of eucalyptus. It is antifungal and antibacterial and really easy to muck out with
