Best/Easiest way to feed rolled barley?

What's the easiest/best way to feed rolled barley? I've read about slow cookers and pouring boiled water over it, any other methods?

We just used to feed it as it came, it is only whole barley that needs to be boiled.

I thought it was micronised you could feed straight out of the bag, I thought rolled had to be cooked?

No it doesn't.

Micronised is better for digestion though but if rolled do give horse time to get used to it before going on full rations, make sure he's chewing it well otherwise it just goes straight through and is worthless, won't get the benefit from it.
