Best energy feed for spooky horse

Hi everyone can anyone recommend a good feed for my connemara x Irish sports horse mare she's very nervous and can be very spooky but I'm ridding quite a lot more now and I feel she needs a good feed that will give her energy without making her craycray😕 xx

What are youi feeding now? And is she the right body weight?

Mine gets pink mash with a handful of grass chaff and a mineral balancer. When his work load is heavy he gets oats

My warm blood is a sharp chap. Is only fed fruit and vegetables! Any feed makes him silly.

She's on top spec cool balancer and hi fiber her waight is very good at the min won't oats make her worse or do you find they give good energy x

In what way do you need more energy, if she is nervous and spooky you need to work on that to get her using the energy in a better way, any feed will probably make her more spooky, give adlib forage and a bit of oil in her daily feeds, then get her fit and focused in her work the time to change things is if she requires more to maintain her condition.

If you have a spooky horse that is holding good weight don't feed it any more than grass/hay with optional token feed of chaff/balancer if hooves or coat look like they might need it.

Honestly we have competed horses at FEI level off this

What vegetables and fruit do you give him ?

. Apples. Pears. Carrots. Parsnips. Only small amount for brekkie and tea. He's ridden every day and works quite hard. I'm lucky as he keeps his weight. Tried hard feed last winter and he was awful to ride.
