best feed for a weaned foal?

im getting Bertie next month and just replied to a post about what we feed our horses, and i dont know what to feed him over winter! im not going to have him gelded until feb-march time so dont want to feed him something thats going to make him too upity, he willl prob be ok but i dunno?

what do you feed your weanlings?!!!

i fed mine baileys stud balancer and hifi with hay/haylage.
she did reaqlly well on it.

if she had needed more weight i would have aqdded in a proportion of baileys stud cubes/yearling cubes.as it was she looked great(ribs just showing) on the balancer.
