I need a chaff/feed that I can feed to my horse with a powdered supplement that has no molasses or soya products. Up until today I was feeding topspec lite balancer but I figured they must’ve changed their recipe to include soya + molasses without me realising - it was not appreciated!

My horse isn’t laminitic but I’d rather feed him on a diet low in sugar anyways because I like to reduce his risk as much as possible.

Any recommendations please?

I'd normally say pink mash, but its soya hulls. Everything I feed it to looks good and has good feet though, so I'm happy to feed it. The other thing to try would be grass nuts. Emerald Green do a low sugar one.

The starch content in bran is incredibly high. Probably not an issue in a handful, but depends how sensitive yours is.

Hi fi molasses free is soya and molasses free- low in sugar and starch and most horses get on with it well, provided they aren’t sensitive to alfalfa.
