Best feed for fussy eaters?

Tont is a very good doer, and is finally down to his ideal weight, but I like him to have a small feed with his supplements.

However, he only likes his feed for about a few months, and then starts leaving it. I've tried adding carrots and mint, but he still won't eat it. He's been on fast fibre, readymash, and a few different mixes. But I really don't like having to keep changing his feed.

So, does anyone know a good food for fussy eaters?

Thank you for your help :)

have you tried the feed without the supplements? My horse is picky about the supplements i put in, if i add too much he won't eat it. He would eat one brand for a couple of days then refused to eat any more and that was on less than a teaspoon's worth in a fairly large feed - ie not a token feed.

Thank you for the replies :)

He has the same feed in the morning without the supplement, but he leaves that too. He gets really excited before he has his feed, but he then has a few mouthfulls and doesn't want any more

With my fussy good doer I just give him a handful of Badminton High Fibre Complete as a treat, and sometimes put it in a snack ball.. he'll have it along with a carrot and he's at an ideal weight, other than that he has hay and a mineral lick. Could be worth a try.. as the name suggests they're high in fibre and don't have a huge calorific content I don't think. Have you had his teeth checked? xx

I have one horse who is very picky. He hates feed additives with a passion.

So, he gets oats with a few minerals....any other additives and he's not happy.

I've even toasted the oats...he really liked those.
