Hi - since my Spaniel was diagnosed with hip dysplasia earlier in the year I have been fighting a losing battle with his weight loss. He is approx 2.5kg overweight, and on restricted exercise but thankfully my new vet has now referred him for hydrotherapy - something my old vet refused to do. Up until 2 days ago he was on 180g Arden Grange light kibble ( 320g recommended for weight loss for his weight) and 120g minced beef as he has both a tablet and powdered supplement that he won't eat on the kibble alone. Since visiting my new vet I have reduced this further to 120g kibble and 100g meat, but he is obviously really hungry
and is now jumping up at work surfaces and trying to steal food left, right and centre - something he has never done before.
What would you recommend that will fill him up with little or no calories? (similar recommendations for myself would also not go amiss as I seem to have piled on the pounds recently too!)
Many thanks in advance
