The little blighters are starting to come out now so I thought it prudent to get a fresh batch of bug spray in. As always - your recommendations are gratefully received so come on then - what actually works!!!???

I bought the Effol repellant last year and it did a pretty good job - quite a strong citronella smell and a good misting action so good coverage. My husband always recommends Coopers (when it's available) but I always find applying it with a sponge a bit of a faff!

I get Spot On Prescribed by the Vet (lasts a whole summer) for the body (dribble down the doral line)

Then use Forever Aloe Deoderant for the face :) Easy to apply and really works!

I'm using Horse Master Protect 14. It's a biocide and it really does the job... perhaps not for the 14 days... but certainly for 2-3 with regular applications. And, my horses don't mind it being sprayed on :)
