Sorry to be boring, I bet there's been hundreds of these posts recently (yes, I have done a search, nothing came up!)

I use the Rambo Dustbusters on my horses, and very pleased I am with them too. But, one of mine is very destructive having ripped holes in the neck part of his Dustbuster rubbing on the fence.

So, I'm on the market for a new fly rug, and I was wondering which would be the most suitable. It needs to be very strong to withstand his treatment, but I don't like the ones that are made from very stiff material.

I wondered about the other two types from Rambo.

Any suggestions anyone?

only solution is electric fence.
but my mare has ruined one hood from itching behind her ear with her back shoe.

I have a Rambo Sweetitch Hoody, my horse has had it for three years (with previous woner too) and she rubs loads, and it hasn't ripped. I have just ordered a new one exactly the same as i like to have a spare and I am a bit obsessed with rugs!
I got it from ebay brand new for £88 including p&p the cheapest i found.
Hope this helps.

Just bought the sweetitch busters for my 2 they're half price on premier equine at £34.99 must admit seem amazing value and the fabric seems tough but not stiff worth a try and at that price it won't be such a tragedy if it gets ripped

Great, thanks, will have a look.

He could well be ripping his with his hind hoof, hadn't thought of that. Just presumed it was rubbing on the fence, but haven't actually managed to catch him red-handed yet!

I am very pleased with the rambo protector - Chancer's is in very good shape despite him rolling and rubbing his belly lots. I am so impressed I have just got one for Cairo.

If you are interested, these people are doing various horseware stuff cheap.

I have used these people on e-bay before and buying direct they are even cheaper - £49.99 for a protector with £2.99 postage.
