What is the best thing to put in a snack ball. The horse doesn't really like grass nuts (will actually pick them out of unmollased hifi and leave them but eat the chaff!).

What else would be a suitable alternative to nuts? Can any mix go in or does it just make a mess?

I use hifibre cubes (spillers), happy hoof and occasionally chopped up carrots.

Mine has the decahedron toy and it's his favourite thing ever :-))

you can put mix in a treat ball it just comes out really quickly so doesnt last long... i use herbal treats in mine as they take ages to get out and my horse loves them so keeps him busy for hours :)x

Babminton do a high fibre nugget that's a perfect size for horse balls. Like grass nuts but taste nicer. Think it's called High Fibre Plus, comes in a beige plastic type bag with green writting. It's NOT the Complete version, which is much smaller cubes and higher in calories.

If he needs condition then barley rings are a good size.

Definitely don't want her any fatter! she is portly enough as it is. I'm just trying to keep her amused whilst she is on box rest. She isn't really into food though so I'm probably going to get no where fast.

Will definitely chuck in some carrot etc as she's more likely to want that than dry food.

I put in Spillers High Fibre Cubes but it is part of her diet so she doesn't get extra if you know what I mean ;)
