The Best Friend Grazing Muzzle attaches to an ordinary headcollar..and is rubbing my pony round his nose..so two lots of parallel rubs. Suggestions welcome for padding - I wasn't sure how tight to do up the headcollar buckle round his nose so could this be the cause?

I could go onto plan B and revert to using the Shires De Luxe (fluffy) but he gets it off without a headcollar over the top. Would this be the kindest option if I invested in a leather headcollar which would break in emergency? Or buy a Green Guard..or a Dinky....??? Help

I leave the top pad off my deluxe or it can slip over the ears too easily. He also often has a fly mask on top.

I think with the best friend ones you can buy some fluffy sheepskin that fits on the nose bit on the muzzle and on to the halters are well.

I have the best friend have a heart grazing muzzle that seem to stay on quite well the shires delux did not stay on at all.
Thank you so much for recommending Charlie's Products..very useful accessories to make the muzzle more comfortable!

Hy muzzle with fleece taped on the inside has worked pretty well for my sec a this time. I also bought a pony size instead of a small pony size as I read on here that a larger size stays on better.

I had to take the top padding off the shires deluxe as it made it too easy for my pony to remove it. It also started rubbing at the point where the Velcro does up at the side, so I wrap some vetrap around it now.

I figured that his dinky ponies one didn't have the padding and he coped ;) :D. Mine rubbed a bit with the strap that goes up the back of the jaw so that got wrapped in fleece but the rest is fine. Now if they could just make the fleece on the nose in velcro like the dinky one ;).
