My new horse (coming soon) has a small girth gall on each side (just a 2p sized bald patch) so I want to buy a girth sleeve for him while they heal.

Can anyone recommend a decent girth sleeve. Must be under £40 though as I'm on a budget.

Thanks :D

sorry I am not very helpful , but if you are on a budget I have just saw a crochet pattern for a girth sleeve I am going to give it a go !!

Sorry I can't remember the price but I have eskadron microfibre girth sleeves for the ridiculously hairless TB. They are great because you can wash them at very high temps (I've only found them in white so thank god they wash well!!!) and they come out like new! I did use sheepskin but however careful I was they did get a bit hard after a wash. I love that the eskadrons are so easy to keep clean and I've had no problems with them. Best bit of kit I've bought in a long time.

Love my Le Mieux one, so soft, washes well and girth galls all gone. Hate with a passion my Nuumed one. Feels cheap, slips and no improvement with girth gall. I got the Le Mieux from Viovet with a new customer code giving £3 off plus free delivery came in at £26 or something.

Oh forgot to say I wash mine at 40oC giving it a spray all over with leave in conditioner and it comes out like new. I do this with all my lambskin stuff. Works well for me.
