I have come to the conclusion that it's about time I treated myself to a decent pair of jodhpurs or breeches, and some kind of jumper for the winter. Just wondering what brands you like most and why, and how hard wearing their product are! xx

Have a look at this website - http://www.countryandstable.co.uk/ 70% off and another 10% of everything for the bank holiday weekend.

Depends what your budget is I guess. I still wear a pair of johds I've had since I was 12/13 (now 23). I bought a pair of caldene breeches that cost about £55 and they ended up with holes in both pockets within weeks so wouldn't reccomend them :)

I really like Euro Star and Kingsland breeches as they're the only ones that don't sag in weird places on me, but have recently bought some Dianese and Horseware ones and I'm really pleased with them. HV Polo might be worth looking at but they're always weirdly loose behind the knee (??) on me so it's worth trying them on before buying.

I also like the Joules Mary King waterproof jackets and the Kingsland Venus but they're for rainy days :) . I tend to just stick a normal hoody on with a gilet if it's really cold.

What sort of budget have you got? You can pick up Euro Star breeches fairly cheaply second hand on German eBay (ebay.de).

I have got enough to splurge on a fairly pricey pair, but only i'd their worth it! I picked up one of the Joules coats two years ago in their sale, and must admit I almost wear it everyday and it is still in good condition x

I'm a huge fan of the Ariat breeches - as a mum of 2 with associated 'jelly belly' I love their control panel in the front... But pikeur are fab if you have a great figure and don't need the assistance... ;)

I've just bought some cavallo soft shell breeches and they're honestly the comfiest pair of jods I've ever worn. I didn't think anything could beat musto or kingsland til I bought these.
