best insurance?

Hi as I am new to dog owning I was wondering if anyone could advise me on best insurance. I would like to get vets fees covered as my puppy has already been to the vet twice with minor things!

Personally I'd go with Petplan - and they have three levels of vet fee coverage.

Same as above poster.
Hassle free, most vets happy to deal with them directly, they are generally reliable and do not shoot to extreme heights for cover as the dogs get older or if they have had claims.

Major con is they are one(if not the most) expensive on the market.

Otherwise ask your vets?
most will not tell you who to avoid(not allowed) but will often mention who their own dog is insured with and who they will and will not deal with direct claims from.

My vet wont deal direct with any pet insurers. Bit difficult when you have a huge bill and not much money!
