We have only ever owned Russells and mutts in the past and have never insured them. But we are getting a new pup soon who cost a few pennies so thought we should perhaps insure her. Horses are with NFU....who are best for dogs please???? Thank you.

I can recommend pet plan. They're not the cheapest but whenever i've had to put in a claim i haven't had any problems with them. I've had to claim money back myself and also when the vet claimed directly they were very quick to pay out without a fuss.

I wouldnt recommend anyone other than Petplan. Not the cheapest but the best. If you chose not to use them then try and find a lifetime policy otherwise after a year an existing problem will be excluded xxx
