Horse in question is 7 year old cob/arab/warmblood but is more the chunky side. He is worked 6/7 times a week, an hour of school work at low level novice, lunging in a pessoa, hacking at all paces for 2-3 hours in winter, more in summer. At the moment he is stabled 24/7 but will be going home from uni for summer in April where he will be out 24/7. His hind hock (one of them as far as I can hear) clicks quite loudly to the point where it can be heard from the other end of the arena (40x60).
Any recommendations of a supplement to help ease this and prevent further damage/wear and tear?

I have a mare with clicky hocks. When I had her vetted he wasn't concerned at all but I did put her on a joint supplement called Fleximover which I think has reduced the clicking sound. She seems better in the winter too so maybe hard ground is a factor.

Cosequin - it is quite expensive but you can reduce the dosage down until you find what works for your horse which makes it cheaper. It has stopped my horses hocks clicking - although she is much older than yours.

I have used equimins flexi joint and it worked really well. I think it's the best one so far I've used, but it was the one with devils claw in (liquid version) and I wasn't too sure how long it could used that for. But there is a powder version. I'm am now testing the suppleaze gold (2for3 online) and had great results with this one too. These two I would defo recommend for joints and clicking :-)

my boy has been on naf superflex for 4 years now. i buy a massive tub online as it is cheaper, and when i ran out and forgot to get more he started clicking again. i have also used feedmark's version when it was on offer as ingredients pretty much identical.

My mare had a clicky hock, I fed her codlivine. She made it to the age of 27 okay, it never gave her a days problem, it was her front legs :-)
