Well. Tonight I was supposed to be starting a weekend away with my best mate.
Two days at the stallion showcase, meeting her (very lovely) new dressage pony, no kids and meeting up with old college mates on Sat evening.
Absolute heaven. Been looking forward to it since it was suggested on New Years Eve!
So. Where am I now? Sat at home, with a high temperature, dripping with sweat (lovely image for you all, sorry!) and feeling like I am being stabbed all over by malicious pixies wielding red hot knitting needles.
Pah.
Yet another delightful gift from my darling daughters.
Children - an unremitting reservoir of all things pathogenic. Vectors to effect the transfer of all bugs from one adult to another....
Still, wouldn't be without them (the children, not the virus!)
Not quite the relaxing, child free weekend I had in mind!
