Best leisure battery for electric fencer

Does anyone have any recommendations please. Our last one was from halfords, and lasted over 10 years.

I got one from Halfords last year, hoping it lasts as long. Previously bought from dedicated battery shop but they didn't last long at all

I've been using old car batteries. Not the done thing I know but I've been swapping the same two over alternately for charging for approx 3 years now!

I've got one from Halfords and it's lasting longer and better than my other way more expensive one!

If you go into Halfords and explain you want it for electric fencing, they'll tell you the best one x

My local branch are so used to horse owners popping in, they've now got someone who advises the best batteries to use, how to make it last as long as possible etc x

Halfords, much cheaper than the super duper expensive leisure battery from a well known maker, but has lasted far longer, so far crossing fingers!

Your local farmers/ agricultural merchants will have stock, good advice and sensible prices

Halfords, because the warranty period is usually longer than anywhere else.

Curve ball, but a solar one from Amazon, much lighter than lugging a lesser battery around!

My friend went for the solar option and found they weren't very robust. She is on her third one in about 5 years.
