I don't think there is a 'best make' really, it depends on your shape as to which manufacturer has the cut that fits you the best. It's not always one of the expensive makes that has the best fit. Once you find na make that suits you stick with it.
I loved the Harry hall monarch jods but i don't think they make them anymore, i had 5 pairs of them and i can't find any anywhere, i really need some more though!
I've been wondering this too - I'm a bit of a fatty so I've been trying to find some that don't make my legs look like sausages lol. Anyone know the most flattering make for "fuller figures"?
I think for the price that Shires saddlehuggers are very good. Enormous range of colours and really comfy. I have a pair of posh Pikeur ones I got at Olympia, reduced from £100 to £30 as they had a biro mark on them (which fairy liquid removed). Really nice but I would never have paid £100 for them!! Finally, got some Rodney Powell ones on ebay for £17 and they are also really nice. Great stretchy fabric and flattering cut.
My final vote would definately be Saddlehuggers!
I love the Mark Todd Gisbourbe breeches. They are nice stretchy material with knee patches and a self fabric seat. They wash and wear really well and don't fall apart!!
