So I’ve slowly been saving up for tack for my horse as I’ve been borrowing it, and now the only thing left is a martingale to replace.

What brands do you recommend?

Looking for a martingale which is good leather quality and possibly innovative as I’ve seen a few with easy clips and stuff. Just want to hear which brands of martingale you would all recommend?

Thank you! ?

Bump as i'm quite interested too as I got a rather expensive Henry James one in Full size and when it cam didn't fit my 15.2hh Connie X (although lovely quality leather) So now am thinking of just going for a cheapy one?...

I usually buy cheap martingale I don’t like the ones that half martingale half breastplate I use a separate breastplate ( a fairfax one ) and a cheap martingale when hunt
ing and hacking is easy to get a martingale caught for instance on a gate the cheaper easier to break they are the better .

I've bought so many martingales over the past year and they have all been odd sizes. Agree cheap! The one I've got now that's perfect, size, weight etc was new but from a boot sale!

I was going to buy the Henry James one for my 16.2hh but they had sold out in Black Friday and not come back in stock ?they’re such lovely quality leather, I have a bridle from there?

Probably my one that I have returned lol! It was absolutely beautiful but no good size wise :(
So now just looking at a cheap Shires martingale for now to tide us over.
