I've wading through past posts and forums about the current best trailers to buy new, unfortunately I can't find much after 2011. I've had a IW 505, 510 and currently a 510 classic (5 years old) and it's not a patch on my old 510 for quality. The 4x4 is potentially being upgraded so consideration of a Equitrek Show Treka L is now a serious option. However, most of the reviews I have read don't rate the Equitreks on quality and customer service is poor. As the years have gone on do I assume that trailers are being manufactured lighter and shortcuts taken? I have a big 17.1hh who likes to seriously bang and paw about, I need something that's going to be solid and not dent, bend or bow at the first sign of any force against it. Are the recent IW substantially build? are Equitreks? Bateson's get a good review, they just aren't a good looking as some others (personal preference I know!). Any snippets or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have a 2011 511 and a mare that travels with stampy, stompy and kicky!! So far it has held up well to all the commotion going on in there when she travels!!! Sliding windows also very useful!!

Will this be for towing under B or B+E licence rules ?

I have a Bateson Ascot, stands up to bashing etc well. I have mares & foals, youngsters, and over exciteable ridden horses and noone has managed to damage it.

My 328kg 13hander managed to completely destroy the partitions in a fairly new Ifor, and she usually travels without a peep!

The Ascot fits 2x17.2hs and tows beautifully. I have a LWB Nissan Terrano, and its a great combo.
