Best oil and amount to feed for best coat shine?

As above really. Used Baileys Outshine last year but want to save some pennies this year.

Everyone has a different opinion on oils, linseed/soya/cod liver...............I've just always fed Tesco's Vegetable Oil, and the majority on my yard do too

I use Sainsbury's veg oil - I just give 100ml a day if it is for coat shine - seems to work well enough:

Linseed apparently but personally i fine veg oil is just as good.. I also used to feed it at 100ml

Linseed oil is the best one for the job, but veg oil is cheaper and does a good job...you can also feed seaweed for coat condition! I've never had a shiner horse than when I feed him seaweed!!

I tend to prefer seaweed - both my girls are super shiney on it.

I have been feeding black sunflower seeds and he is very shiney and his hoof condition has improved no end. He normally has very poor soft hooves that break easily, but even in this awful wet mud filled weather his feet have been exellent

Where do you buy black sunflower oil and in what way does it differ from the yellow oil.

And Lanesfield_Larkspur which seaweed supplement do you use? Haven't seen any for sale anywhere, recently. Thanks.

You can get dried seaweed from most good feed/tack shops

I get them from the feed merchants in the bird seed section, I bought a couple of kilos for about £1.50, see the post below:
