As the title says really! We don't have many decent tackshops near me or they are too far away so can anyone recommend good reliable online ones? Thankies
Im in coleraine, ive never had a bad experience with robinsons. I bought a saddle, bridle, winter rugs, new grooming kits, medical kit and more and the postage was only £5.49.
Found other online stores charged by number of items you purchase
I've found TDS Saddlers very good - very speedy delivery even though I only paid for standard delivery, which is about £3.95 (I think). Have ordered several things with them with no problems.
Have had quite a few problems with Robinsons though
Ebay is great for most things, www.saddlery.biz also has an excellent choice of products and they're very good for delivery, as is www.foxequestrian.com, and I sometimes buy online from Holmestead if I need something I can't find anywhere else.

they told me they had delivered my goods told them had stayed in all day not had them said they would post agin, nothing when i phoned them they said they had left them round the back had to tell them they would have had to walk through house to get round back they then changed story to it being at neighbours! i live in a semi so went round asked nope they had not had anythin phoned robinsons again usual will post out today! took them over a month to get the package by this time had gone out and bought the stuff from local shop as pony at the time was freezin!!
I like Equestrian Clearance for cheap stuff, Derby House are good and so are Rideaway. Don't touch Horserugs4u with a barge pole! Used to be v good but I had to go to Trading Standards recently to get my money back from them.
Whatever you do, DON'T touch derby house with a bargepole. Have been waiting 5months for my item now - 4emails not replied to and phone unanswered. Very angry.
derby house are pants! 28 feb i ordered a bridle, just had to cancel, theyve sent the wrong size wrong brandd, assorted wrong colours in the same parcel, again and agian and again.
kayleigh_and_rocky, ring and ask for Diane Wilson, she's the manager, nothing will get done unless you speak to her. i rang her every hour in a day until she finally wasnt in a meeting, out, or on an important phone call, at almost 5oclock
equestrian clearance are good.
robinsons can be a bit rubbish too, have rang seperately about boots and riding hats, to be told that they sisnt have my size would i like them in an alternative size? er, no, because then they wouldnt fit!
Horse and Rider in Sheffield very good - very good prices - they have a catalogue but its not in the same league size wise as your Ride aways or Derby Hse. They are v. helpful and will get anything in for you. Ride Away and TDS are very good too. Agree with comments about the Derby Hse service having gone rapidly down hill in recent years since they have expanded and bought out CAM. I have found Robinsons not too hot either - delays and lots of stuff out of stock when I have tried to order.
LOL! I had the same problem with Robinsons! I ordered a navy numnah in cob size...they sent me a black saddle cloth in full because it was the nearest size and colour they had in stock! They were then surprised when I phoned up to complain, LOL! Havne't used them since.
