Best outdoor rug for a yearling?

I'm thinking about winter already, i know how depressing

anyway, i doubt last years rugs will do my filly this year, so i'm looking to buy some.
she doesn't have much in the way of a chest or shoulders. and i don't want anything that won't sit in front of her withers properly (had a problem with another rug that did that, i won't go into it as it'll get me into a rant

)
i just wondered what make of rug would be best to look at?
i don't have much money, so something reasonably priced too
oh and that comes in 5ft or smaller size

Get one with a high neck as they'll pull less than a standard / combo. Weatherbeeta do high necks that small or rhino /rambo wugs can be purchased in that size too.

i do love rambo's but they're a bit out of price range.
although as i'm being organised i guess i could keep an eye out on ebay for a bargain

Kingshead do a very reasonably priced rug - which was perfect for a friends yearling.

If your yearling doesn't have much front I'd avoid the kingshead one - I had one and it slips back on anything narrow and rubs their shoulders.

Hunt on ebay - you might find an organised soul clearing out for winter. I have rhino wug going spare but it's lightweight and 5'6!

We didn't find that at all.

Kingshead are good - or keep an eye out on ebay local tack shops for Bucas or Horseware (the Amigo are cheap and just as good)

I used cuddly ponies rugs on my New Forest yearling, both their indoor and outdoor rugs and found them to be great. They fitted her well and have lasted two winters, ( i brought them a size too big and they didnt drape too much either) not even a rip or tear from playing with the other horses. Its a shame you didnt post a few weeks ago as i have just given them away as she has out grown them.

i had looked at a cuddly pony rug and liked the look of them and they're a good price on a certain website

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, but I've always used Mark Todd rugs. My baby was very narrow but they've always been brilliant and never rubbed her shoulders etc. You can also buy detachable hoods which fit brilliantly.

My two were fine in Weatherbeeta standard middleweights when younger - one is a Shire x TB, the other TB x Bavarian...and they didn't have any rubs.
