Ok, so Edward the Shire has grown AGAIN! :p His 7" turnout rug looks like a miniskirt and he's getting a rather chilly backside. I've found a couple of places online but I wondered if anyone has any recommendations for decent and not too pricey 7'6" stable and turnout rugs. :)

Ive got a 7'6 amigo brand new lite weight turnout (no fill) Im gonna sell as it wont even go near my clydesdale if anyone is interested then pm me as ive got to have a bit of a clear out as ive got over 100 rugs now:eek: and only 2 horses :D Think I might be OCd about my rugs lol

Big horse shop. They do 7'6" rugs and specifically designed for shire and shire x's. Wouldn't say they are especially cheap but worth the money to get a rug that actually fits! Put our boys 100g one on today and it fits really well xx

Not cheap but got good reports of durability - the big horse shop. My mare is only 14.3 but v chunky and its the first rug i've ever bought that isn't tight on her shoulders and doesn't look too short on her belly. They're designed for shire/ clydie/ chunky monkeys so imght be worth a look :)

Fraid not. My shire takes 7'3's and I'm constantly on the look out for cheap rugs, as he is an annual rug destroyer... If you find any gems, please let me know!

Ebay and Preloved have got some big rug's there. Mine is between size's 6'9ft-7ft. WB don't fit him anymore!! I've got a couple of them left to sell if anyone lokking please PM me.

I've just bought one of ebay (a big horse shop rug ironically - lovely, lovely rug but wouldn't pay full price for it as it will be destroyed by the end of the winter!) I keep an eye out constanty, it's finding ones that are a make that will fit my boy as well. Weatherbeeta fit him like a glove! Haven't had any sucess on preloved so far but keep an eye out there as well. It's just a matter of always keeping an eye out and grabbing a bargain when you see it... even if it is mid summer!!

Im sure I saw some 7'3ft WB on Preloved over the last couple of day's. When did you last look?? Im having to re-kit mine all out in new rug's gutted I like WB shame they don't fit him anymore!! So far I have find that Masta Tri-Vent rug's fit him loverly not short in belly or tight across chest.

Last looked a couple of days ago, but only half heartedly tbh, I find trawling through preloved quite a chore! But as you have mentioned it, I shall go and have a look later tonight. Or maybe tomorrow when I'm not so tired! lol. Thanks!

One stable rug ordered from the Big Horse Shop...in the largest size they do! :p And they got some good discounts on today :)

My latest discovery in massive rugs cheaply is Ruggles. I got a 7'6 turnout, only cost about £25 including postage, that's just the ticket but still using 7'3 Weatherbeetas in the stable and there are a few 2nd hand ones knocking about online.
I'd love some big horse shop ones but I just can't afford it this year.

Where were you lot last week?! I just sold a brand new WeatherBeeta Landa Combo medium, never been out the bag on Ebay for £39! And a combo medium stable rug for £23! Both 7ft 3.

Have not read all the replies so this might have already been said
But equestrian clearance have a big called "for big boys and girls" and they are normally very well priced, that or I would go to eBay
Good luck :)
