My friend is thinking that she should prob sell her side saddle, any ideas about where she should advertise it? Or are there any saddlers that either buy them or will take to sell on commission?
Thanks for any help (what i know about side-saddles you could write on the back of a postage stamp!)

I don't think there are any saddlers that buy them out right, most sell them on commission.

Leo Wright Saddlery (he maintains my side saddle, there is a pic of Hattie wearing it on his website), I think- has started selling used saddles for people:

Laura Dempsey also sells them for people:

The Side Saddle Lady website allows you to post free For Sale and Wanted classified ads:

Side Saddles also sells them on behalf for people as well:

The Side Saddle Association:

Also has lists of saddles for sale.

I don't recommend selling them on Ebay though as they are a pain in the *ss to post due to their size. They are fragile due to their age and shape so you can't just lump them in a box like you can with a normal saddle. I bought a side saddle on Ebay which was sent like this and it arrived broken (would have cost more than the saddle was worth to repair).

Also too, Ebay may keep your money and they have that new policy coming into force where the buyer can just claim a refund and then Ebay will bill you automatically.

If you do have to post a side saddle, I recommend you read this article on the NEA Side Saddle Association:
