Best place to advertise an ex-racer..?

as the title really... have been asked to rehome a lovely 3yo who never made it to the racetrack, she'll make a really lovely riding horse for someone but I am unsure where to advertise her...? There seem to be so many expensive horses about that will make her seem too cheap and have folk thinking that there is something up, but at the same time I want to find a good home for her, not just someone who will buy her because she is 'cheap'.... any suggestions...?

Isn't there a racehorse rehoming website? Or speak to Vicjp?

Problem is that someone will buy her cause she'll be cheap and end up over horseing themselves - if she was reschooled and jumping then probably worth alot more.

Might be worth selling to someone as a project that they could sell on - if she's got a sane head then someone would take her on and sell her for a bit more......
 
Thanks... I'm planning to ride her as soon as poss (its been too wet last couple of days) and will get her in a school and over poles as soon as I can but i dont want to keep her too long, its not fair on her as she is a sweetie and deserves a good home...

There is a ex-racer section on HorseQuest now but its got loads of expensive event 'prospects' and horses that have never been near a gallops, never mind a track....

there is ex racers forum or I have just sold an ex pointer, with a few "issues" (small ones) to a lovely lady who just wants to hack which is what he does best. Any pressure like schooling etc, he just falls apart! It took a little while but I am truly convinced he has a fantastic home and owner to go to and it really worked out well. Ours was quite cheap too and people do think something ghastly must be wrong! Stick with it, I think we used horsemart in the end!

She is advertised on the Ex-racer forum as I am an area rep on there - just looking to see if I can show her details around to a wider audience by advertising her elsewhere...

Might give Horsemart a go after Xmas if she isnt sold by then....
