I know I have seen this but can't find anything now on the board.

And would my mare be suitable for a share? so mare is 16.3, ex intermediate event and I want to share her as a hack. She is brilliant out hacking, very focused, non spooky so is a complete joy to ride after hacking out my somewhat more jumpy younger horse. She is not a complete novice ride - while she is very straightforward, she is also quick off the leg and will not tolerate being grabbed in the mouth. I ride her in the laziest fashion, relaxed and loose rein. She is also very sensitive to seat aids and weight having got athritis in her neck (which is why she is ridden on a long rein). She is helpfully working with me to train new staffie and sisters staffie about hacking out as ignores dogs being a little idiotic.

Hacking is also really lovely where we are with hardly any roadwork. My reasons for sharing are a: cost obviously b: attention for my mare c: time. Not looking to loan her out or send her away as she is 22 and very settled. Neither am I looking to cover all my costs either - I don't want her working flat out to cover these but some money towards my basic bills would be appreciated. Ideally would also be someone who might like to do some in hand showing as I do have transport and she loves parties! (say in hand as I won't ask her to do a test anymore)

She sounds good to me. It may take a while to find someone who is suitable to ride her though. When I advertise although I always state needs an experienced rider but I usually get some people that are really novices trying her, who think they are experienced.

Where did you get the best results?!

I'm the same - looking for a sharer or a long-term loan home for a 3.5yr old ex-racehorse. He's capable of doing all the basics and jumping and is boringly sane, just needs a little bit of regular schooling and he'll be up and running for eventing, showjumping or dressage as he moves beautifully and jumps really well for a baby.

Finding someone though for such a hrorse is not an easy task!

Try Goggling "loan horse wanted" and see which sites come up (equine advertiser I think was one which had loads of people Wanting) - search for people wanting one as well as advertising?
