best place to look for companion/light hack

well some of u kno i need a companion for abby, ,and i am considering gettin something that can do some light hacking that my friend can ride occasionally since her family aren't in the best financial situation to buy a horse, but she can help me out etc......

i am going to look into charity's (but the riding assesment scares me :S ) plus its a long drive up to aberdeenshire

i usually see loads of light hack advertised but i can't find any in my area any thoughts?? age colour etc not an issue, if it was to be used for hacking would prefer over 13.2hh. would prefer a nativey type

You could try local farm/tack shops for pinned up adverts

i know of a 2 yr old to go as a companion pony, quarter horse to make around 14.2 but had a broken pedal bone and has arthritis in the joint but managed by bute in winter. whereabouts are you??

Why not ask your vet? They might know of something that is needing a quieter life that would suit you. Or ask your farrier if you can put an ad in the back of his van - I've seen quite a few do that! Best of luck in your search.
