I bought a brand new kent and masters saddle for my horse last june and used it about 15 times if that before putting him out on loan because things didnt really work out between us.
So the time has come to try and sell it.

Where is the best place to advertise saddles that are nearly new?? Its in pristine condition.

This isnt an ad....im just not really sure what to do with it or how to go about selling it!

Is it better to go to a saddlers as i know they are in short supply a bit or try somewhere like ebay?

I am in the same situation trying to sell my saddle, my local saddler doesnt buy in second hand saddles or trade in as they are unable to compete with the ebay market etc.

I was going to put mine on Ebay but it seems such a hassle to post it/insure it etc!!

I have just stuck to cards in tack shops, and facebook lol!

Its a shame you havent got a K & M dressage or GPD as thats what im looking to replace me Albion with!

Good luck!!

Lol i have to admit im not the best with things like ebay...but i may put it on there i guess its worth a shot!!

Good luck selling yours too!

Thank you curious yellow for that bit of info....looks like ebay is the way ahead.....i know what the OH's project for tonight is now ;-)

It was just the postage part that put me of ebay, I put a load of other stuff on there last night - was going to do pick up only but that limits you doesnt it!!

What do you think of your GPD?? Ive booked the saddler to come out (before I have sold my current saddle oops!)

I got my Kent and Masters saddle from preloved, so you could try selling there or ebay. I contacted a local saddler to sell my old saddle and they take 30% commission. Am going to try and sell my old saddle at Exeter horse sales where they have a tack auction.

Fab sounds like that could be a good one for my mare too - fine TB (and I swear theres a bit of arab in there too!) Thanks!!

Sorry to hijack your post :D

I would look into Saddles Direct - looking to buy a new saddle at the minute (proving a total nightmare) and been recommended them by a few people. Think they work on commission but might take the hassle out of it.
