I've been given a few rugs from a friend who is no longer into horses. None of them fit any of my horses and all of them apart from one are broken in some way, some chest straps, some surcingles etc. Where would be the best place for me to sell them? I could fix them and sell them after but I don't want to have to pay lots for all the bits that are missing and barely make my money back, so unless anyone has a site for really cheap repair parts, where is best to sell them?

Is there any point in selling damaged rugs when new ones can be so cheap these days?

If they are worth saving I would sell on eBay

IF you really want to repair them go to abbeyengland.com, seek out the parts you need and then ask me for the prices, I can order them in for you but bear in mind you have carriage from my suppliers to me then me to you.I do have some rug fittings that might suffice, depends on what you need really, Oz :)

They're good rugs, no holes etc and nice and clean but it's just annoying that nearly all of them have something little wrong with them. The main bits that are missing is the surcingles (sp), some the entire strap and some just the metal bits. I think all the broken chest straps are still there so they'll be easy enough to fix. I don't want to just throw them out as they could be useful to someone, it's a shame they don't fit any of mine or I'd quite happily use them myself.
Thanks Oz, you're a star, I'll go through them all properly tomorrow to see exactly what I would need and look on that site :)

All my unwanted rugs are going to the local horse sanctuary. I recon I've had my money's worth and would rather they did some real good.
