We are selling our Defender90, I know the obvious place is going to be autotrader but, this truck has been a real labour of love for OH (think new paint job, new doors, new chequer plates etc etc) and would love it to go to an enthusiast and thinking maybe autotrader isn't the best place..?

Any ideas on the best place to sell it - Brightwells has been mentioned too...

Thanks!!:D

I bought my 110 through ebay. But I'm not an enthusiast, I just wanted a tool to do the job.:(

try an ad on landyzone, you can't get much more enthusiastic than those guys even if they are all crazy;) Don't put it on ebay unless you want to be insulted by ridiculous offers, autotrader is good, i sold my old S3 landy through there, sold in the first week (boohoo i miss her  )

Go for the Landy enthusiast sites first.

My OH would love a 90, or any LR come to think of it, trouble is they cost about $30,000 here and for a summer runabout, that's a bit steep.:(

We sold our Defender 110 for over 200,000 pounds :D

...admittedly it came with a detached house and a paddock as part of the deal;)

Try Gumtree. I think you can have up to nine pictures and, as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words!

I recently advertised for help in our local free ads paper and on Gumtree. One reply from free ads paper and about a dozen from Gumtree.

After advertising my heritage on autotrader to be visited by a couple of well-dressed gents who had a cup fo tea, a look around and then left to tell me that they would call me later, about 5 minutes after they left I went out to get some fuel and caught them changing the actual number plates of the BMW that they came to view my car in, very strange and I was convinced they were criminals who were going to return to steal it. Having not slept I decided to sell my car to a dealer in Chesterfield, a chap called Eldon who was from Barnfield cars, decent honest chap, I didn't get as much as I wanted but I suppose they are entitled to a profit. I won't be advertising a car again on autotrader or any other site to be honest.
