I have a 3.5 ton horsebox for sale, it has some cosmetic damage and I've found a new box which I want to offer on so looking for a speedy sale. Which of these horsebox garages/sellers would anyone recommend? Looking for a decent price but no hassle and last minute haggling 😂

I put mine on 3 different 3.5t sale groups on faceache earlier this year.
To ward some off, I put offers over xyz. (Still got a few offers lots lower by pm, one wanted a payment plan!).
However, it did sell to the 1st one who saw it, 6 days after listing. So it was short term pain only.
Good luck.

I’ve previously used horsequest, eBay and fb marketplace. Horsequest is good if it’s a relatively high value box, might not find your buyer with the cosmetic damage. FB marketplace tends to create admin with lots of time wasters but does work if you’re prepared to go through this. EBay used to be quite useful as an advertising rather than auction platform but not sure people still look there much. I’d probably try FB first, both marketplace and local horse groups as a post.

That's good that it sold that quickly privately! I had no end of people messaging when I was selling my car a couple of years ago and that put me off. But might be worth listing for a week!

Yeah most people seem to want something pristine but I have a very large scratch on the side after someone drove me off the road into a metal gate recently. Only cosmetic but I think it will put people off. Didn't know if it would be quicker to go direct to a garage who won't mind that. But might be worth sticking of Facebook for a week or so just in case!

I sold mine through facebook.
You do need to price competitively though and makes ure you include pertinent things like unladen weight, mileage etc.
I also make sure photos included the reg number so people could check the MOT/ plating history before contacting me.

Mine went on Facebook as well. Was an older box with cosmetic damage so it attracted a lot of messages from jokers so I had many messages to ignore/delete, but the first person to actually turn up in person with a mechanic to check it over bought it.

Just be aware if you put it on eBay beware of the costs in the different categories = different percentage. We got advised to advertise a horse trailer NOT in equestrian section as the costs were more than general trailers, still sold it quickly.

I didn't use marketplace, just did a very comprehensive advert with plenty of photos on my page, set it to public and then shared the ad on those 3 groups and our county page.

You still get village idiots asking things that are clearly in the advert, such as when serviced, what's been replaced mechanically, weight, location etc. To each one I merely put 'its in the advert above' .......
