Hi all,

hope you all had a good christmas!:D

So... need to sell a 2011 HB506.

Where is the best place?

i thought eBay, but they take a large chunk of the money although good as I need to aim to sell it end of next week if possible!

Any suggestions??

thanks
:)

I advertised on horsedeals and horsemart and sold my 511 within a week for full asking price. Horsedeals seemed to get far more hits and I think was cheaper too so I would try there first. Now maybe not best time to sell but having said that it was late Sept or early Oct I sold so not ideal either - I always think coming into spring probably best time when people getting sorted for the season ahead but maybe that's just me!

Thanks DarkHorseB! Will try there! I know not best time but need to sell asap haha, selling to fund new horse to go in comp livery so won't need trailer for a while

Sorry measles! Its 506 :(

We popped ours on ebay with a phone number so anyone who wanted to could come down and view it ( ;) ) A man came down within a few days and made an offerr, which we accepted. We cancelled the auction meaning we only had to pay listing fees.

thats a good idea actually,

can you do classified adds on ebay?

thanks welshstar!

You can do classified adds but they are a lot more expensive. We didn't specifically put 'can be bought outside the auction' but just included the phone number for them to 'view it'. We've done it (both buying and selling) with quite a few things to avoid the high end of auction fees. Ebay can't do anything as there is nothing to stop you from removing your item. Just make your phone number quite clear and make a point that people are more than welcome to view it :)

I sold mine back to the main dealer. Got as good a price as if I'd sold privately and there was absolutely no hassle :).
Took it along, he looked it over, gave me a cheque and off I went.
