Just wondering what the best places are for advertising a pony available for loan?? Is there much demand for loaning ponies as well? Are online places (such as the Irish Horse Trader) a good place to advertise? And do ads in tack shops, feed stores etc. get many views?

Id deff say put an ad in your tack shop, even if your not looking for a horse people always nosy at the ads,(well i do anyway) and if someone happens to mention to them there looking for a horse to loan, theyl be able to tall them of your ad.

other places are new rider, horsetoloan.com, horseexchange

Id say there is a demand for pony loans as its people who don have the finances to buy there own or parents who dont want there kids to have the resposiblity of having their own

I was thinking of maybe putting him out on loan towards the end of the year, before the hunting season begins, as he'd give so much confidence to any child! I'd also like him to do a few more 128cm SJAI competitions, as I'm too old for 128s, I'm guessing that I'd be paying for Castle's SJAI registration fees as I'm his owner (Dad is the owner, officially though!

), but wouldn't be paying the childs membership???

Him and Beastie would make great friends. She'd just think he's a giant white fuzzy version of her!

Also tell your farrier and even your vet.

I don't know what its like with SJ but when I have loaned horses and evented thrm I put them down as me being the owner as it was my choice to go eventing and I would have to pay for it.
