And no this isn't an advert - I will be careful to not give details! :wink3:
For those of you who have sold a horsebox, where did you advertise & did you find certain websites better than others in terms of responses?

It's looking very much as if we're going to have to sell our lovely horsebox, I am absolutely gutted but it's the sensible thing to do... we sold our trailer on ebay and our old lorry locally, so I haven't had any experience of selling using horsey websites... When I was searching I looked at all of them on a daily basis!
And how much quieter is the lorry searching market at this time of year? Is it really worth hanging onto it until Spring?

Would really appreciate any recommendations on where would be best to start :frown3: x

I had mine on British Dressage (free to advertise if you're a member) and Horsequest, not cheap but you can put as much info as your like and the adverts are well laid out. We had lots of enquiries from both, although more from Horsequest. We hadn't sold it when the Horsequest advert ran out but they offered us to readvertise for half price and we sold it the day after it went back on.

I'm looking for a horsebox and horsequest is a pain in the rear due to the linear format, also horsemart search function doesn't work and they don't seem willing/able to fix it so avoid horsemart...horsedeals I one I check regularly and good old ebay of course

Ive sold 2 advertising on Ebay and preloved, neither actually sold through bidding on Ebay but the buyers originally contacted me through there and bought after the listing ended. One was a cheap wagon, the other not.
When buying I found Ebay, Horsegossip, Preloved, BD website and horsequest the best, horsemart and horsedeals are just flooded with a certain company advertising what appears to be the same horsebox in different colours and I got fed up of looking for the private adverts which where pages from the latest ads due to this company.

Good luck in selling, Id try the free sites first, if someones seriously looking, they will scour all the different sites.

Per loved, and dressage on a budget were where I had success. Our local Facebook group is well run,and active so if you are on it,and have a local group, or groups, try that too.

Thank you so much everyone, it's so good to see which websites you have had success with and gives me a much better idea of where to try - Louby I know exactly the ones you mean, it drove me mad when I was searching!
Have PM'd you EF x
