Hi all

Title is rather self explanatory, doing some premature research as hope to be buying a showjumper later in the year.

It would be for someone coming off ponies and would have to have some competition experience maybe 1.10 ish, nowhere that only sells 4 yr olds, the budget isn't huge (Over 10k though but not £30k+), doesnt have to be an olympic prospect although potential for say 1.30 in the future would be a big bonus and was wondering the best places in your opinion for something like this would be (maybe the places to avoid too?)?

Have considered Harrington horses although they seem to mainly sell younger horses and the Billy stud but am conscious that prices will be out of our range & also though about travelling with an agent to the continent but preferably in the UK, I would be willing to travel for the right place.

Thank you!

Try Kim at Kimba Stud. Just got my mare from there, good to deal with and knows her stuff. If you ring and tell her what you want and she will tell you if she has anything in.
There was a few that would suit what you want when I was look a few weeks ago but no idea if they are still there.

What I know of the Billy Stud is very good. I worked with two of their mares (I was an SJ groom) for a year and was very impressed - lovely temperaments, as happy to hack as to school, and really quite talented. Both were jumping 1.30 -1.45m regularly. If I could afford it, I would look there! It might be a good idea to check out smaller producers in your area too - if you give your rough location people here might be able to suggest specific places.
